The Common Core State Standards initiative will make a significant, positive impact on our students' readiness for college and successful careers. The work I and my colleagues have done with teachers and administrators in the component districts has made Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES a leader in this initiative. Our contributions have been recognized by the NYS Department of Education and have prepared our schools well for this significant change in the way our students will be taught.
